Role Summary

SCIDaR is seeking to engage suitable and qualified candidates as Field Support Staff to provide support to the FOR M(om) team in Kano and Lagos states in conducting health facility visits for formal introduction of project, facility assessments, documentation, and signing of program contract.

Technical Responsibilities

The Field Support Staff will collaborate with the Kano and Lagos team to provide technical assistance to health facilities to achieve the following:

  1. Conduct visits to prioritized health facilities to introduce the FOR M(om) project to health facility Directors to ascertain interest and identify a facility focal person
  2. Work with facility focal persons to update fit-for-program assessment tool
  3. Conduct follow-up visits to health facilities to provide feedback to health facility based on the outcome of the assessment
  4. Support health facilities to complete documentation process in preparation for program support
  5. Support health facilities to sign program contract
  6. Conduct baseline assessment across assigned facilities

Other Job Responsibilities

  1. Participate in routine joint problem-solving sessions with the FOR M(om) team 
  2. Provide routine updates and reports on progress with facility engagement

Required competencies

  1. Demonstrated strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities;
  2. Average computer usage skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (word and PowerPoint is an added advantage)
  3. Fast learner, open to learning from peers, subordinates, and supervisors collaboratively and at a rapid pace;
  4. Results-oriented performer, experienced in developing and tracking self and team with clear KPIs;
  5. Must be residents in Lagos and Kano states

Required Education and Experience

  1. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in science or social science courses (degree in Public Health, or health-related course is an added advantage)
  2. Minimum of 1 year experience in social marketing with a good understanding of client engagement
  3. Experience in data management, electronic reporting systems, and data use for decision making

Terms of Engagement

The Field Support Staff will be engaged for a 2-month period over which s/he will support the Solina team in implementing the program deliverables. The work will mostly be executed in close collaboration with the FOR M(om) team. The Field Support Staff will receive a monthly fee/salary for their effort based on defined KPIs
