The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation awarded SCIDaR a grant to implement the Monitoring Learning and Evaluation (MLE) for targeted performance management of Sub National Tailoring SNT in Nigeria. The project aims to develop and implement a robust performance measurement framework that rigorously tracks SNT milestones and outcomes and utilizes data to foster evidence-based decision-making among critical stakeholders while enshrining accountability in the program. The work seeks to provide crucial insights for implementing, enhancing, and expanding effective strategies in sub-national malaria programming in Kano and Kaduna State

Description and Objectives

The Program Analyst will work closely with the Program M&E Associate to support day-to-day program implementation, data collection, and analysis. They will assist in ensuring that program activities are executed effectively, and data is collected and analyzed to inform decision-making.

Scope of Work

Program Management

  1. Assist the M&E lead in executing program activities according to the program plan.
  2. Collaborate with the M&E lead and Program Manager to ensure program activities are well-defined and achievable.
  3. Support the collection of program data using various methodologies, such as surveys and spot checks.
  4. Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of collected data.
  5. Assist in the analysis of collected data and help identify trends and insights to inform program adjustments.
  6. Contribute to the creation of reports and presentations to communicate program findings to stakeholders.
  7. Work collaboratively with program staff and partners to coordinate data collection and analysis efforts.
  8. Assist in the review and refinement of program strategies and activities.

Data Management

  1. Assist in maintaining an organized database of program-related data.
  2. Ensure data privacy principles and ethical considerations are followed during data collection and analysis.
  3. Support the Program Manager in producing regular reports on program activities and progress.

Stakeholder Engagement

  1. Collaborate with the Program Manager to engage with key stakeholders and partners.
  2. Participate in relevant program meetings and coordination efforts.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in program implementation and data analysis.
  3. Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data collection methods.
  4. Familiarity with M&E tools and software.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Ability to assist in data analysis and report generation.
  7. Fluency in the local language (Hausa) is an added advantage.
