SCIDaR is providing program management and research support for the Digital Payments Health Initiative and Research project, which is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF). This 3-year project is being implemented by two African public health institutions, Makerere University School of Public Health (MaKSPH) for anglophone countries and University Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD) for francophone countries, to catalyse the generation of evidence on the impact of digitised payments for health workers on the quality of immunisation and other health campaigns.

Drawing on our extensive experience in program implementation and research across various countries in Polio Africa, we are committed to ensuring effective planning, coordination, and data-driven decision-making to deliver high-quality activities. We are also dedicated to building sustainable collaboration between the two institutions and enhancing the capabilities of project teams through a capacity- building program. As part of our research support, we are actively involved in the co-creation of a research agenda that will be implemented throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
