I. Introduction
Solina Group is an indigenous consulting firm that works to accelerate positive health, social and economic reforms through high-quality program design and implementation, capacity building, implementation science research and knowledge generation, as well as agenda-setting and stakeholder convening across human development sectors. Our work seeks to benefit primarily disadvantaged and under-served populations. We implement transformation programs in Nigeria and are currently expanding to several West and Central African countries.
II. Description and Objectives
Solina Health is seeking to engage suitable and qualified candidates as ad-hoc staff to provide support to the FOR M(om) team in Lagos State in conducting health facility visits for the formal introduction of the project, facility assessments, documentation and signing of the program contract.
III. Technical Responsibilities
The ad-hoc staff will collaborate with the Lagos State team to provide technical assistance to health facilities to achieve the following:
i. Conduct visits to prioritised health facilities to introduce the FOR M(om) project to health facility Directors to ascertain interest and identify a facility focal person;
ii. Work with facility focal persons to update the fit-for-program assessment tool;
iii. Conduct follow-up visits to health facilities to provide feedback to health facility based on the outcome of assessments;
iv. Support health facilities to complete the documentation process in preparation for program support;
v. Support health facilities to sign program contracts;
vi. Conduct baseline assessment across assigned facilities;
IV. Other Job Responsibilities
i. Participate in routine joint problem-solving sessions with the FOR M(om) team;
ii. Provide routine updates and reports on progress with facility engagement.
V. Required competencies
i. Demonstrated strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities;
ii. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Yoruba/Hausa are required.
iii. Communication skills including active listening, negotiation, and influence, giving and receiving critical feedback and public speaking;
iv. Average computer usage skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (word and PowerPoint is an added advantage);
v. Fast learner, open to learning from peers, subordinates, and supervisors collaboratively and at a rapid pace;
vi. Results-oriented performer, experienced in developing and tracking self and team with clear KPIs;
vii. Must be a resident of Lagos State;
viii. Proficiency in English and local languages in Lagos State is an advantage.
VI. Required Education and Experience
i. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in MBBS, Nursing, Pharmacy;
ii. Minimum of 1-year experience in social marketing with a good understanding of client engagement;
iii. Experience in data management, electronic reporting systems and data use for decision-making.
