Babafemi trained as a medical doctor who is passionate about improving health and other developmental outcomes, especially in underserved areas. His interest lies in the nexus between research, policy development, and practice. He believes learning is a lifelong commitment and always seeks out opportunities to improve himself. In addition to his core academic credentials, he has certifications in public management and performance-based financing. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health, a Member of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and a Mandela Washington Fellow. Prior to SCIDaR, he worked as a clinician providing services across public and private health facilities.
