Chukwunonso Nwaokorie is a goal-getter and a diligent public health professional with a background in Medicine and Surgery. Before joining SCIDaR, he worked in the hospital where he practiced medicine and served passionately to save the lives of his patients.

About Chukwunonso

Chukwunonso is a goal-getter and a diligent public health professional with a background in Medicine and Surgery. Prior to joining SCIDaR, he worked in the hospital where he practiced medicine and served passionately to save the lives of his patients.

Working at SCIDaR

Nonso has over six years of experience in program design and management. He has worked on multiple programs within and outside Nigeria. He currently leads the implementation of the Polio Africa program that aims to improve the quality of Polio Outbreak Response in nine African countries; and also supports the implementation of a postpartum hemorrhage reduction program in Kano, Lagos, and Niger states in Nigeria on the Smiles for Mothers Program. Before his current role, he supported the team that conceptualized and designed the Kano Health MoU which has set the pace for broadening the Northern Nigeria Routine Immunization Strengthening Program (NNRISP) scope to broader PHC in five other Northern Nigerian states. He also managed a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) funded Private Sector HIV program for over two hundred (200) private health facilities in Benue, FCT, and Nasarawa states.
