He joined SCIDaR as an analyst and has quickly grown up the ranks amassing experience in different areas of public health in both the public, private, and development sectors. SCIDaR is not just about the work, it is about shaping the person for the greater good of society.
What Demilade loves the most about his job is the people around. It feels so great to be surrounded by such a huge mass of really intelligent people who are so passionate about their personal development and the development of the human race.
Demilade manages a portfolio of projects across Central and West Africa with a focus on routine immunization, primary healthcare development, system strengthening, healthcare technical advisory, and Human Nutrition.
Across Niger and Chad, he leads the support to strengthen the routine immunization system. Demilade led the mass roll out of mass digital payment systems for routine immunization across three (3) regions in Chad. The effort has now been expanded to over 60% of regions in the country with Harvard University currently documenting the progress for scale-up in other countries.
In Nigeria, Demilade leads the implementation of the Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria, a World-Bank funded project that seeks to tackle malnutrition across six (6) states through the delivery of a basic package of nutrition services. He works with a team of thirty (30) professionals and over five hundred (500) community volunteers to do the difficult job of fighting malnutrition in all its forms.
Alongside this, Demilade also leads the delivery of monitoring and evaluation support to the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office’s Lafiya Program, the UK Government’s flagship health program in Nigeria across five (5) Northern Nigeria States. On this assignment, he leads the development of baseline assessments, process, and output monitoring, overall project and performance management.
