Joshua joined SCIDaR as an NYSC intern and has worked on several projects. He has worked as an analyst on the Guinea Bissau Leadership, management, and Coordination (LMC) strengthening program where he conducted detailed diagnostics of the country’s expanded program on immunization (EPI) and the capacity of the EPI leadership team. He joined the strategic information (SI) team of the ACHIEVE project where he managed data on the HIV program. Joshua was part of the team that conducted diagnostics RI+PHC implementation in four Gavi-supported states in Nigeria on the HSS grant, where he also developed a detailed 4-year work plan and other supporting documents for the project. In 2021, he supported Kano state to conduct a management capacity assessment to identify capacity gaps and proffer recommendations.
Joshua currently works with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency Technical Support Program (NPHCDA-TSP) to coordinate and deliver technical assistance to the sub-national levels and build the leadership and management capacity of the NPHCDA staff to execute job roles. He has also supported the NPHCDA to develop a tailored performance management system (PMS) in line with the 2022 civil service guidelines on PMS.
