Who is SCIDaR?

Solina Group is a management and healthcare consulting firm, founded in 2010 that works with businesses, governments, researchers and development organisations to develop innovative solutions that address pressing healthcare challenges.

In 2017, Solina Centre for International Development and Research (SCIDaR) was birthed as an affiliate indigenous nonprofit institution of Solina Group.

SCIDaR works to accelerate positive health, social and economic reforms through high-quality program design and implementation, capacity building, scientific research and knowledge generation, and agenda-setting and stakeholder convening across human development sectors.

History of SCIDaR

Since then, we have implemented over fifteen (15) transformation programs across the thirty-six (36) states and FCT in Nigeria. We are currently expanding our footprint to several West and Central African countries.

Our work seeks to benefit primarily the disadvantaged and under-served populations because we understand the challenges of living in under-developed settings. Hence, we strive to improve population outcomes through proactive and tailored interventions

Where We Work

SCIDaR implements transformation programs in Nigeria and is currently expanding footprint to several West and Central African countries. Our impact covers: Nigeria, Chad, Congo Brazzaville, Guinea Bissau, Niger, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia

RIS Chad: Solina strengthens routine immunization at focal provinces and the National level in Chad

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO: Polio Africa - Solina coordinates polio campaigns, project tracking systems, and implementation of Mobile Money to facilitate payment of campaign workers.

LAGOS: SFM - Solina supports the state to develop an implementation plan to roll out medicines from WHO recommendations on uterotonics to prevent Postpartum hemorrhage.

GHANA: Polio Africa - Solina coordinates polio campaigns, project tracking systems, and implementation of Mobile Money to facilitate payment of campaign workers.

BURKINA FASO: Polio Africa - Solina coordinates polio campaigns, project tracking systems, and implementation of Mobile Money to facilitate payment of campaign workers.

GUINEA: Solina supports the Expanded Program on Immunisation managers to improve structures, resources, managerial competencies, processes and tools needed for effective operations

LIBERIA: Solina worked extensively with the Liberian Government to define and implement a comprehensive education reform strategy.

ABUJA: Solina provides technical assistance to the National Primary Health Care Development Agencies (NPHCDA) to design, implement, and institutionalize a structured approach for effective identification and delivery of technical support to the State Primary Health Care Development Agencies (SPHCDAs) for improved PHC system and service delivery

PLATEAU: Solina provides the basic package of nutrition services to children aged 6-59 months and maternal/infant nutritional counselling to pregnant and lactating mothers

TABARA: Solina supported the state to develop the MOU roles and responsibilities to guide the granting process

KWARA: ANRiN states - Solina provides the basic package of nutrition services to children aged 6-59 months and maternal/infant nutritional counselling to pregnant and lactating mothers

BENUE: Solina through the ACTION Plus Up program provided nutrition services through distribution of ready to use therapeutic feed, ACTION Meal to malnourished children in clinics and community support group settings.
