At SCIDaR, we cherish the remarkable contributions of our team members, and what better way to honour their talent and dedication than with an unforgettable Employee Awards Gala Night held on December 16th, 2023. It was an evening filled with celebration, recognition, and gratitude as we gathered to applaud the outstanding individuals who embody the spirit of SCIDaR.
From the impeccable style showcased by our Best Dressed Employees of the Year to the vibrant social atmosphere fostered by our Social Butterfly of the Year, each award underscored the diverse talents and invaluable contributions of our team members.
In the Best Dressed Employee categories, Daniel Akko and Eba Ajima stood out as the winners for the male category, while Onyinye Ogini stole the spotlight in the female category. They were joined by deserving runners-up Joshua Edison, Umarfarouq Idris, Chelsea Osayande, and Ihunnaya Ijemanze, each representing a unique flair and sense of style.
We also paid tribute to our mentors, whose dedication to guiding and developing others earned Demilade Osoteku the Mentor of the Year Award. Uchenna Igbokwe and Raihanah Ibrahim were recognized as first and second runners-up, respectively, for their exceptional mentorship contributions in 2023.
A special moment of appreciation was reserved for Hidayah Bello, who received the CEO’s Award for Long Service, commemorating her remarkable decade-long dedication to SCIDaR and her enduring legacy within the organization.
Recognizing excellence in operational and programmatic roles, Onyinye Ogini and Nohra Villamil-Torres shone brightly as the recipients of the Employee of the Year Awards in their respective categories. Their exemplary performance, personal conduct, and collaborative efforts with clients exemplify SCIDaR’s commitment to success.
Moreover, our gala night highlighted the exceptional talents of interns and staff members, with Winner Caleb receiving the Rookie of the Year Award for his outstanding skills, closely followed by Muiz Salami and Olalekan Ojosipe as first and second runners-up.
Isioma George’s exceptional proficiency in PowerPoint presentation design earned her the Slide Maker of the Year Award, with Muhammed Salihu and Umar Musa recognised as runner-ups. Similarly, the Excel Model Developer of the Year Award celebrated Saheed Popoola as the deserving winner, while Solomon Tseayo and Uloma Ngwoke were recognized as esteemed runners-up for their expertise in complex dashboards and model development in Excel.
Lastly, the Excellence in Communication Award celebrated Amina Abdulkarim for her exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with Ayomide Fasan and Michael Okoh acknowledged as first and second runners-up for their outstanding contributions to effective idea conveyance.
