SCIDaR has partnered with VillageReach to conduct an implementation research project aimed at testing equitable digital-first care models in Lagos, Nigeria. This project’s objective is to enhance access to primary healthcare (PHC) services in underserved areas by leveraging telehealth solutions, addressing both geographical and financial barriers.

Supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and in collaboration with the Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA), SCIDaR and VillageReach will adapt and implement telehealth models to improve PHC access. The project will test solutions such as hotline services, market kiosks, and community pharmacy kiosks to determine their effectiveness in expanding reach to underserved populations.
