Gbenga trained as a pharmacist. However, his passion for development made him switch from Community Pharmacy to Public health, and now management consulting. He is passionate about improving health and other developmental outcomes, especially in underserved areas.

About Gbenga

He is a dynamic and enterprising Public Health Specialist, with over twenty (20) years of post-graduation experience. He possesses a postgraduate degree in Public Health (Epidemiology) and Certificates in Data Management, Humanitarian Response, eHealth, and Palliative care. He has vast experience in International Public Health, Monitoring & Evaluation, Health System Strengthening, Programme Management, Commodity Management, Health Economics, and Data Management. Over the years, he has worked on several projects with the UNICEF, World Bank, The Global Fund, Catholic Relief Services, Management Sciences for Health, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Working at SCIDaR

Gbenga believes excellence should drive any endeavour of man and he sees life through the prism of the understanding that we can make a difference by doing things differently with evidence. This motivated him to join SCIDaR where he has been able to expand his frontiers, bringing on board his years of experience to better contribute to the organisational goals. Working at SCIDaR has availed him several opportunities to collaborate with different stakeholders including governments, technical experts, and donors to address pressing development challenges with results to show for it.
Gbenga Jokodola applies his wealth of experience to SCIDaR’s mission to improve health and social outcomes. Currently, he Manages SCIDaR’s Institutional Capacity Strengthening project with the National Malaria Elimination Program (NMEP-ICS), providing support to the team that provides managerial and technical leadership to malaria combat efforts at the federal and state level across the interventions.
