Muhammed is a management consultant with over four years of experience in improving health outcomes through healthcare systems strengthening projects in Nigeria. He is passionate about designing and implementing strategic interventions to strengthen systems and policies in Nigeria. He recently led a team that managed interventions targeting demand for vaccination in insecure areas of Borno state and provides data-driven analysis to help guide the routine immunization program across 6 Northern Nigeria states.

Working at SCIDaR

Muhammed joined SCIDaR as an intern in 2019 and over the past four years, he has worked on several projects including providing operations support as an HR assistant and procurement officer. He has worked with the Kano Health program, and the Northern Nigeria Routine Immunization Program (NNRISP) and has supported various diagnostics such as the GAVI HSS and Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria (ANRiN) program.
Muhammed currently works on the LAFIYA program as an Associate, providing technical support across five (5) LAFIYA targeted states (Borno, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, and Yobe) to strengthen primary health care systems with a focus on service delivery, monitoring and evaluation system and community-based services. Muhammed’s work at SCIDaR makes him very happy. He enjoys that the job has significant impacts that can be felt by beneficiaries immediately. He is constantly challenging himself to continuously learn.
