With outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities amd relevant experience in
clinical practice in Nigeria, Dr. Uche was able to highlight significant gaps in health care
delivery and management. He joined SCIDaR to be able to contribute to the
improvement of health outcomes for underserved populations and the most vulnerable in
society helped propel his passion. Being part of a team of “possibility thinkers”,
implementing solutions to fix the most pressing healthcare challenges sustains Uche’s
passion for what we do at SCIDaR.
In his capacity as Chief Executive Officer at SCIDaR, Dr. Uche provides strategic
oversight to both the Projects and Operations arms, managing a team of over 320 staff
members. He spearheaded the development of a comprehensive 5-year growth strategy
aimed at achieving the organization's goals. Dr. Uche oversees a diverse portfolio of 18
active projects across 25 states in Nigeria and 12 other African countries, supported by
renowned donors such as BMGF, MSD for Mothers, CDC, NPHCHDA, GAVI, and the World
Bank. With a cumulative donor fund exceeding $25 million, he ensures effective management and utilization of project resources.
Dr. Uche plays a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing partnerships with donors,
government agencies, development partners, and other stakeholders. He is responsible
for monitoring and evaluating all program outcomes, utilizing data-driven insights to
drive continuous improvement and achieve impactful results. Additionally, Dr. Uche leads
initiatives to enhance SCIDaR’s visibility and ensure its sustained positive impact on
healthcare systems and communities. Through his leadership, SCIDaR remains at the
forefront of driving meaningful change in healthcare delivery and management across
Africa.
